Book Description

Active learning is an approach to classroom teaching and learning that focusses on planning and guiding students through a range of activities that require learning by doing. Instructors engage students through interactions with course content material as well as other students using a variety of pedagogical techniques including guided group discussion, collaborative problem-solving, hands-on experimentation, and simulations for example.  Active learning uses an eclectic approach and is better suited to serving a more diverse student population.
