This textbook draws on the author’s own research in Ireland as well as teaching experience in the realm of the Irish landscape. As well as using materials from diverse sources, spanning from academic sources to journalistic and cultural media, this book also includes videos and images from the author based on her own research. This textbook takes holistic approach to first-year geography, incorporating elements of Irish physical, human, and cultural geography. Pedagogically, this book incorporates a range of ways to learn, including interactive activities, diverse case studies, and multi-media materials including websites, videos and images pertinent to each case study. This book is aimed at a student in geography, Irish studies or cultural studies with an interest in introductory Irish geography.
