I will never forget how nervous I was ahead of the first lab that I was leading. All these years later, I look back and realize now, that it was this experience that first inspired my love of teaching.\r\n\r\nYour role as a TA is crucial to the success of our students. Your success is their success. In this section we will outline the <a href=\"https:\/\/opentextbooks.concordia.ca\/ta-guide\/chapter\/your-role-as-a-teaching-assistant\/\">rights &amp; responsibilities of your role<\/a> and basics to <a href=\"https:\/\/opentextbooks.concordia.ca\/ta-guide\/chapter\/preparing-for-the-term\/\">prepare for the upcoming term <\/a>so that you are well equipped for your teaching journey. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/opentextbooks.concordia.ca\/ta-guide\/chapter\/inclusion-and-accessibility\/\">inclusion and accessibility chapter<\/a> outlines the lens that we aim to apply to all of our teaching and learning work to welcome our diverse student body at Concordia.\r\n\r\nFinally, I encourage you to work with the <a href=\"https:\/\/opentextbooks.concordia.ca\/ta-guide\/chapter\/important-contacts\/\">various supports and contacts available to you<\/a> at the CTL, GradProSkills, your home department, and across the University.
